Hi! How's everyone doing? Let's break down some of my most used beauty products!
1. Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint
This stuff is SO good for so many reasons- the perfect bare pink for all lip shades, and an appropriate color for all occasions, super hydrating, and won't clump up on your lips.
2. L'OREAL Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara
This mascara is just GREAT! Very pigmented, doesn't clump up your lashes, defines and makes your lashes look long! Isn't that what we all want?!
3. Anastasia Brow Powder
I love a brow powder better than a pomade or pencil. Powder is more natural looking and less harsh on your brows, giving them a less drawn in look. Who wants outlined and sketched out brows? Anastasia has the best color payoff and most natural looking shades for all skin tones.
4. E.L.F. Cosmetics Perfect Finish HD Powder
I've tried many setting powders over the years, and this is good example of higher priced beauty products NOT always equaling better quality. This powder sets my under eye and t-zone areas just fine and without creasing. At $6, it's a win for all.
5. CoverGirl Eyeshadow Palette
I'm definitely skeptical when it comes to drugstore eyeshadow, usually they're not pigmented, makes fallout all over your face and are just a waste of money. This palette not only has all of the colors you would need for a full eye look- any occasion- but, it also doesn't have as mush fallout as other drugstore shadows. I still blow on my brush before applying to my eyes, but the color payoff is well worth it!
6. Chanel Bronzer
I tried this bronzer based on a lot of recommendations, I'm so glad I did! Although, the price tag is hefty($50), it is by far my most favorite bronzer EVER. It perfectly matches your skin tone, and glides on the skin, creating an airbrush effect. The color is not muddy or orange, and doesn't have shimmer. LOVE!
7. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
This concealer is better than most high end concealers. I've used Nars, Tarte , Urban Decay, MAC and even the highly touted and uber expensive Cle de Peau concealer. Now, don't get me wrong- all of these are great in their own right- but time after time I've re-purchased this Maybelline concealer. It just does it's job, stays in place, and covers like a dream. Plus, they have tons of shades for everyone's skin tone!
8. Garnier BB Cream
The most asked makeup question I get is, "what do you use on your face to make it look so flawless?"
This is my answer! Garnier BB cream is magic in a bottle! Not only does it provide SPF, it controls shine, blurs imperfections, lasts all day, evens tone, and minimizes pores. I use this as my primer and base, then just add a light dusting of powder over it.
9. Maybelline Fit Me Powder
Speaking of powder, this is the stuff I use most. My all time fave is Studio Fix by MAC Cosmetic's, but it has a higher price tag at $28. This Maybelline powder is the only drugstore powder that I've tried that even comes close to MAC's. They have ton's of shades, as it's part of their Fit Me ccollection. It's the one I grab most often.
10. MAC Blush
This is one time I will not budge on a higher end beauty product. MAC blushers are just- THE BEST EVER! I have tried so many other brands at every price level, and nothing compares. MAC blush glides on, stays in place, and is oh-so-pigmented. This is one time to SPLURGE($17-$23)!
11. Stila Eyeliner
Eyeliners can be tricky- sometime they're not pigmented enough, other times they drag across the eyelid. They can smudge and wear off throughout the day. Stila brand eyeliner doesn't do any of the above. It's fabulous, stays in place, glides with ease and is an all day formula.
12. MAC Highlighter
The purpose of a highlighter is to accentuate the parts of your face you want to bring foward, i.e. cheekbones, cupid's bow, eyes. MAC makes great highlighter's that aren't too showy. I don't want my face to look like I dipped it in pail of glitter or shimmer. I like subtly when it comes to makeup: think classic. This achieves a highlight without looking like a Vegas showgirl, which is fine- if you're a Vegas showgirl.
13. L'OREAL Primer Mascara
I love mascara primer's, and this one is perfect. I use this before I put on my regular mascara, and sometime's in-between coats. It lengthens, defines and plumps up my lashes- just the way I like them. Give it a try!
What are your favorite makeup must-haves?
